61-Year-Old Man Dies in Auto Collision near South Wilmot Road

TUCSON, AZ (November 18, 2022) – Monday, Todd Aldinger was pronounced dead following a car crash on 22nd Street.

Per reports, 61-year-old Aldinger attempted to turn left in a 2020 Ford Transit from Wilmot Road to 22nd Street and collided with a 2009 Ford Expedition.

Police said that Aldinger was traveling north and the Expedition was heading southbound when Aldinger failed to yield right-of-way.

Medics arrived and transported Aldinger to a St. Joseph’s Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford Expedition suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Following preliminary investigations, police say that impairment was not a factor of the collision. Although, an active investigation is still currently underway.
