Now, specializing in booty implants is strange enough (it's a particular, Latino taste — don't ask). But cops say two San Fernando Valley siblings — not recognized doctors in the United States, mind you — allegedly specialized in butt and face implants that were not, apparently, made of medical-grade material. No, these were plastic implants, cops say. And they allegedly made the customers sick.

Fifty-three-year-old Guadalupe Viveros and 50-year-old Alejandra Viveros were arrested this week at a residence in the 13100 block of Mira Mar Drive in Pacoima on suspicion of practicing medicine without a license, according to Los Angeles police.

Each was being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Authorities allege the pair was running an illicit “cosmetic surgery fillers” business in nearby Sylmar. States the LAPD:

Victims identified have complained of becoming ill as a result of being injected by these fillers. In some cases, these fillers have hardened into solid plastic and have developed infections in the victims. The suspects specialize in cosmetic filler injections to the buttocks and facial area.

Guadalupe Viveros claimed to be a doctor in Mexico, but police said she was not a licensed doctor stateside.

Investigators are looking for more information about the pair. If you can help call 818-834-3115.
