Write-in Slate: Uncredited bit actor Harry “Rube” Dalroy, also known as the Mayor of Gower Gulch, chalks up another victory. Dalroy, who was in his early 70s when this picture was taken, was a familiar face in Hollywood's low-budget Westerns, having appeared in 100 titles, such as I Shot Billy the Kid, The Blazing Trail and Shotgun Pass. The Gulch was a popular gathering spot for Hollywood's Poverty Row cowboy actors.
