Tink Drops Toxic: Chicago-born R&B songstress Tink has released new single and video “Toxic,” and it’s an honest, thought-provoking soul tune.

“I fucked you even though I knew you were toxic,” she purrs in the opening line, laying the foundations for the scathing, very real storytelling that follows.

“’Toxic’ is the song that puts me in that mode every day,” said Tink in a statement. “I love to see the girls pop their shit & this is me setting the tone for the year. I’m just approaching everything harder, speaking on real things. That’s how I connect through the music.”

According to the press release: “The video takes inspiration from the musical Chicago where we first see Tink and her crew behind bars referencing the infamous “Cell Block Tango” scene. Next up, Tink asserts her dominance at a dinner table in front of her man, and then we see her surrounded by her exes on their knees, blindfolded as she sits on her throne.”

“The video was inspired by the patterns we all see in different relationships…those toxic cycles.” said Tink.
