A woman who was shot to death and found wrapped in a blanket in a Hyde Park alley April 15 has been identified as 40-year-old Tina Sanchez.

Sanchez was found in an alley near Crenshaw Boulevard and 73rd Street about 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

She was shot in the face. Her body was found by a man who lived nearby. According to police reports, she was found fully clothed, and there was no obvious evidence of sexual assault. Police would not give out any additional information about Sanchez and it does not appear that there were any witnesses to the brutal crime.
