62-Year-Old Man Killed in a Fatal Crash on Sylvan Avenue near Oakdale Road

MODESTO, CA (March 16, 2021) – Wednesday afternoon on March 3, Timothy Wallace, 62, was killed in a motorcycle crash on Sylvan Avenue.

The crash took place around 2:00 p.m., near Oakdale road. Modesto Police officers arrived to the area shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls.

Per reports, Wallace was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Sylvan Avenue when he struck a 2004 Saturn Sedan that was turning onto Sylvan.

The driver of sedan was later identified as 39-year-old Sherry Duden. She stayed on scene and cooperated with the officials. However, due to the impact of the crash, Wallace died on scene.

Moreover, the surrounding area on Sylvan Avenue was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Although, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.

An investigation into the crash is still underway. Once available, more information will be released to the public.
