Traffic Collision around Harding Avenue Left Valerie Torres Injured

STANISLAUS, CA (July 11, 2022) – Wednesday night, Timo Martinelli died and Valerie Torres sustained injuries in a crash on Crows Landing Road.

The fatal accident occurred around 4:26 p.m., on July 6. Authorities responded to the scene just south of Harding Avenue.

According to reports, 21-year-old Martinelli was driving northbound in a 2003 Honda Accord, at the same time Torres was driving southbound in a 2019 Honda Civic. For reasons still unknown, Martinelli’s vehicle veered into the opposite lane, colliding head-on with Torres’ vehicle.

The Civic came to a halt between the northbound and southbound lanes. Meanwhile, the Accord came to a stop on the road’s east side. Both cars received major front-end damage.

According to EMS crews, Martinelli was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, 34-year-old Torres was seriously injured, and paramedics took her to Doctors Medical Center for treatment.

The CHP said it is uncertain if drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident. However, an active investigation is ongoing.
