Time for the NFT craze – and profiting from it with Richape Mille

In 2021, NFTs rose to prominence to become a dominant trend. And like everything new, those approaching it are asking 1,000 questions. Is it just a fad? Do they really matter? Why are NFTs so cool? Are they really the next big thing among the investment and luxury industries?

As with all “rising bubbles,” something is true and something inflated. Let’s start with the real stuff. An NFT is real; in fact, an NFT is a certificate of authenticity. What does the NFT certify? It certifies that a digital asset is unique and not interchangeable. A Non Fungible Token, or NFT for short, is a unique digital asset. It means that, unlike a traditional fungible asset (e.g., gold), or a fungible token, e.g., Bitcoin or Ether, it cannot be exchanged for any other. Nor is it reproducible or fractional, as certified by a blockchain.

But how much can an NFT be worth? Legitimate question, which can be answered relatively quickly. In March 2021, Christie’s auctioned Beeple’s Everyday – The First 5000 Days for about $69 million. Pak, another anonymous digital artist, sold NFTs on the Nifty Gateway platform for a total of over $90 million. But NFTs aren’t just about art. Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter, sold the token from his first tweet for $2.9 million. The source code for the World Wide Web, created by Tim Berners-Lee, was auctioned off last June for about $5.4 million. And if Justin Bieber, over the previous two weeks, bought two Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs for a total of approximately 1,770,000 USD (666 ETH), we have the definitive confirmation that NFTs are the asset of the moment.

The community around NFTs for watch enthusiasts

As always, when starting a new adventure, what you need to build is trust. And trust is made with a community of people who share their passions. Trust and passion for watches are the basis of the Richape Mille community, which will revolve around the 5711 NFT Metalus collection dedicated to watch enthusiasts.

The community around Richape Mille is called ChronoMETA and aims to become Web3’s reference point for watches, with a dedicated marketplace. Thanks to blockchain technology, on ChronoMETA, it will be possible to trade both physical and virtual watches with payments in cryptocurrencies. In addition to trading, the ChronoMETA community will offer a series of support initiatives dedicated to watch lovers, such as special events, both in the Metaverse and in the physical world. For watch lovers, there will be dedicated perks from the great watchmakers, exclusively reserved for those who own an NFT of the Metalus series.

Also exclusively, Richape Mille has decided to give away a hoodie personalized with its signature logo, accompanied by its digital NFT version, to the future purchasers of the NFTs belonging to the Metalus collection.

And finally, the mother of all bonuses: a Rolex Daytona in platinum will be drawn among those who participate. Physical, not digital, with its box and papers.

The first Metalus collection, by Richape Mille

The first step in Richape Mille’s community building is the Metalus collection, named as a homage to Patek Philippe’s cult watch, the Nautilus. The collection, which comes from minting 5711 NFTs created on the Ethereum platform, includes the digital representations of the 100 most famous timepieces in watchmaking history. The NFT watches will have four rarity grades: Rare, Super Rare, Grail, and Piece Unique, and will be available in late February 2022.

To access the first phase of the launch, one must register for the Discord channel, accessed from Richape Mille’s home page. From the most enthusiastic channel participants who share the most engaging content for the community, a select group will be added to the whitelisted. They will have the opportunity to buy NFTs at launch price, up to 2 per wallet. After the launch, the other NFTs will be sold on the free market at very different prices, of course.

The Discord channel dedicated to the Metalus launch will be opened soon: you can pre-register now on Richape Mille’s website to be notified immediately when the channel will be open.

Watch enthusiasts, therefore, have an opportunity to build a new community in a Web3 project, bringing together the value of familiar physical assets – watches – with NFT intangible assets, which represent an investment in the future, and get an entry ticket into an exclusive club of luxury watch lovers.
