Tiki Oasis Celebrates 20 Years: After a 2020 which saw them go virtual for obvious reasons, Tiki Oasis is back this year. Yes, we know that this event takes place in San Diego, but Tiki Oasis has long been an event popular with L.A. fans of Tiki music, art and culture so we’re letting you know about it.

There’s a ton going on, but were focusing on the music here. It’s a veritable variety show too, with the likes of Richard Cheese’s Lounge Against the Machine, the Satin Dollz, the Nashville Ramblers, the Tikiyaki Orchestra, the Hypnotiques, Jimmy Psycho, the Amalgamated, the Blue Hawaiians, and  El Vez all performing.

It all kicks off on Wednesday, and it’s the 20th anniversary so there’ll be some celebrating going on. According to a press release: “Formerly hosted at Paradise Point, Tiki Oasis has moved to the Town and Country Resort. Family-owned since it was built as a 40 room roadside lodge in 1953, Town and Country, Mission Valley’s first hotel, underwent major expansions in 1968 and 1969. In honor of Town and Country’s history and mid-century roots, the hotel completed a $70 million dollar renovation in 2020 and has been re-imagined into a modern retreat unlike any other hotel in San Diego!”

Tiki Oasis Celebrates 20 Years: The event takes place on Wednesday, July 28 to Sunday, August 1. Visit tikioasis.com for all the info.
