As a Los Angeles reality show hopeful revealed voice-mail left by Tiger Woods as proof of their affair, the golf legend finally came clean Wednesday, stating on his site, “I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart.”

Jaimee Grubs told Us Weekly magazine she met Woods in Las Vegas in 2007 and carried on a 31-month affair. She said Woods left his last voicemail message three days before the bizarre accident Friday outside his Florida home in which he ran into a tree with his SUV and his wife was found standing over him, possibly with a golf club.

Of course, Woods' admission still leaves a lot of questions unanswered, but it will probably also let the storm blow over for him. It fails to address what really happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. outside his home, when his wife claimed to have rescued him by bashing out an SUV window with the club. He ended up cut and bruised. And it doesn't answer the rumors that he had an affair with a woman named Rachel Uchitel, who came to Los Angeles recently to meet with attorney Gloria Allred. (Uchitel says the rumors aren't true).

Tiger skipped out on his annual tournament this week in Thousand Oaks, citing injuries.
