They say comedy heals all wounds. Or is that time? In any case, when comedian Tig Notaro was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012, she did what any normal person would do: talked about it with a bunch of strangers, at Largo L.A. The show became legendary, filled with gems like this: “After I got the biopsies, they did another mammogram. I had to have my shirt off, and I was standing there at the machine and the technician said, 'Oh my gosh, you have such a flat stomach! What is your secret?' And I was like, 'Oh, I'm dying.'?” In attendance was Louis C.K., who tweeted this the morning after: “In 27 years doing this, I've seen a handful of truly great, masterful stand-up sets. One was Tig Notaro last night at Largo.” Tonight, two years later, Notaro returns to Largo for a breast cancer awareness benefit show. And this time she's bringing friends — among them Moby, Bo Burnham, Chris Hardwick and Mike Phirman. Who better to raise awareness for breast cancer than Notaro, who has lived — and laughed — through the worst of it? As Notaro says, “With humor, the equation is: Tragedy plus time equals comedy. I am just at tragedy right now.” Comedy plus fundraiser? That's a winning equation. Largo at the Coronet, 366 N. La Cienega Blvd., W. Hlywd.; Mon., Oct. 13, 8:30 p.m. (7 p.m. doors); $75.
