You don't have shell out wads of cash to take in some fine LA techno tonight. The Birds and Bees is a one-off, free dance happening at Chinatown's Mountain Bar. Hosted by Friendly Integration, tonight's party will feature a headlining set from Mexico City's Itzone as well as a few local surprises.

Death By Acid is the latest project from the minds behind record label/party crew Droid Behavior. Featuring Subversive and members of Acid Circus, the collaboration mixes the old school and new with a live set-up that includes 909s, laptops and loads of other gear. The sound has been described Detroit-style techno and electro.

Friendly Integration founder Derek Michael will be on the decks, possibly with a special tag team partner, spinning “deep, dark house and electro.” Also on the bill is booty house and techno DJ Stan Minn. Party starts at 10 p.m.

Another heads up: Derek Michael will be joining forces with Baseck for one of their not-to-be-missed [D]Squared sets at Saturday night's Infinite Complexity party.
