LA's Hazel Hill McCarthy III outdoes herself (and her gender) with LICKER LICENSE, a touring one-night event of all-female video and performance featuring Kristy Fenton (Modern Witch), Actually Huizenga (Hard Place, Wet Look, et al), Genesis Breyer P-Orridge (Throbbing Gristle, Psychic T.V.), and many more well-endowed and world-renowned women–all happening at Show Cave tomorrow night!

LICKER LICENSE has already shown in Amsterdam, Mexico City and more, where it began with a 30-minute video presentation featuring body builder boobs, penis shaped clouds, Tracy Ullman, Tom Cruise, home made porn, and footage from Genesis Breyer P-Orridge's breast implant surgery. Per Mrs. Hill McCarthy III's notoriously brilliant curatorial agenda, the collection is as cognitive and compelling as it is cocky. “Sensually grotesque,” she says, as well as self aware, vulnerable, sexy and occasionally shocking.

In London, LICKER LICENSE included the Amsterdam-based multi-talented Modern Witch, a.k.a. Kristy Fenton. She's one of our favorite females currently workin' it. Always an intriguing exercise in multi-media musical performance, Modern Witch combines tantalizing beats and backing tracks, strange and spectacular video projection, and nonchalantly sublime vocals, all surrendered to the audience through a face full of hair and a body swaying and spinning as if it is all alone. Entrancing and inspiring, Modern Witch provokes conversations between minds as well as bodies, invigorating imaginations while eliciting both lust and elation.

Kristy Fenton's refreshingly saucy sensibilities epitomize the LICKER LICENSE position: confident and complicated, occasionally tongue-in-cheek and always audacious.
