Three Nights at Das Bunker, L.A.'s Strangest (and Most Open-Minded) Dance Club Night

Das Bunker, Los Angeles’ most popular Electronic Body Music (EBM)/Industrial dance club night, is currently taking place a few times a season at the legendary Club Los Globos in Silver Lake. Das Bunker, which has existed since 1996 and is run by Industrial music impresarios and DJs Franck H-Bomb and Rev. John (they also run Glendale’s bar/club Complex), has become world-famous for all DJs and performers trading in the darker spectrum of dance music. This photo essay was taken during the last three nights of Das Bunker, including a show on Halloween night. It would be hard to identify the Halloween pictures, however, because Das Bunker attracts the strangest looking (and possibly most open-minded) crowd in the Southland. Goths of all generations, body shapes and orientations, a truly diverse mix of ethnicities, the hardcore and the curious, ravers, burners and cyberpunks — everyone mingles at Das Bunker in an atmosphere of collective respect and acceptance.
