1 Adult, 2 Children Hospitalized after Auto Collision near Capital Boulevard

RENO, NV (April 12, 2022) – Saturday night, at least three people sustained injuries in a car accident on McCarran Boulevard.

Just after 10:30 p.m., the crash happened on South McCarran Boulevard and Capital Boulevard.

The female driver of a Chevrolet with two children inside, ages 9 and 3 veered off the roadway and slammed into a tree. However, further events leading up to the incident remain unclear.

Investigators say the victims were not wearing seat belts at the time. As a result, all three occupants were transported to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Meanwhile, the police have not release further details about the collision. At this time, an active investigation into the collision along McCarran Boulevard is currently ongoing.
