If you're just about finished up with your MURRICA!! celebrations from last weekend, perhaps you'll now consider changing your party hat, switching from that glittery Uncle Sam top hat to a beret. July 14 is Bastille Day, known in France as La Fête nationale, which celebrates the beginning of the French Revolution. It's also a good excuse to eat a bunch of French food. 

There are a number of celebrations taking place in Los Angeles, on the day itself and over the weekend — there's even a 10-day festival dedicated to all things France that began on July 4. But here we'll focus on places with good, appropriately French things to eat. 

Bouchon Beverly Hills
This Sunday, July 12, beginning at 1 p.m., Bouchon will be celebrating Bastille Day with a daylong party on the lawn in front of the restaurant. There will be live music, beer and wine for $5, waffles with Nutella for $8 and an 8 p.m. screening of Ratatouille. There will also be $2 oysters all day inside at the raw bar. 235 N. Canon Drive, Beverly Hills. 

Terrine
Terrine is celebrating its first Bastille Day with a special dinner on July 14 featuring Dominique Crenn of San Francisco's Atelier Crenn. The menu will offer a sneak peek at the menu of Crenn's forthcoming San Francisco restaurant, Petit Crenn. The seven-course meal will cost $65 per person (not including alcohol, tax or gratuity) and will include dishes such as rabbit galantine with warm grape salad and salmon en croute with asparagus and leek vinaigrette. Reservations can be made for seatings from 5:30 to 11 p.m. Terrine's regular menu will not be available. 8265 Beverly Blvd., Beverly Grove. 

Maison Giraud
Maison Giraud continues its tradition of celebrating Bastille Day each year, with live music from Parisienne jazz guitarist and singer
Nathalie Alice. Chef Alain Giraud will be preparing special, extra-French menu items as an ode to the national day of his homeland. 1032 Swarthmore Ave., Pacific Palisades.
