Woman Killed in Multi-Car Accident near Long Beach Boulevard
LONG BEACH, CA (June 6, 2022) – Early Wednesday morning, one woman was killed and multiple were hurt in a three-car accident on 91 Freeway.
Emergency crews responded to the scene around 1:00 a.m., near Long Beach Boulevard.
According to reports, the driver of a vehicle rear-ended another car, causing the initial vehicle to spin and face the wrong-way. Shortly after, a third car struck the wrong-way vehicle head-on.
Officers arrived and discovered a woman, believed to be an occupant of the first vehicle, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, two other occupants suffered unspecified injuries.
Police are withholding the name of the deceased victim until her loved ones are notified.
At this time, authorities have not yet released a description of the vehicles or other parties involved. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.
