Thousands of Angelenos took to the streets to protest in response to the death of George Floyd as he was detained by Minneapolis police earlier this week. Today’s demonstrations at Pan Pacific Park and Mariachi Plaza come on the heels of multiple days of protests and civic unrest throughout downtown L.A.

In response, Mayor Eric Garcetti ordered a curfew in downtown L.A., from 8:30 p.m. tonight to 5:30 a.m. Sunday.
