49-Year-Old Thomas Roberts Struck and Killed on US Highway 12

TACOMA, WA (October 6, 2021) – 49-year-old Thomas Roberts died on Saturday after being hit by a vehicle while standing outside his SUV on US Highway 12.

The tragic accident occurred at 12:50 a.m. on US Highway 12 near Satsop in Grays Harbor County.

Officers stated Roberts, and his 42-year-old female companion from Puyallup, pulled over to the right shoulder of the Highway.

He was standing outside his SUV when he was struck by an eastbound 32-year-old Hoquiam man.

Roberts died on the spot as a result of the accident. Meanwhile, his 42-year-old female passenger from Puyallup was unharmed.

At this time, the Washington State Patrol is currently looking into the fatal incident.
