Highway 33 Intersection Crash Left One Stockton Man Dead

TRACY, CA (March 28, 2022) A two-vehicle crash on Highway 33 claimed the life of Thomas Holdener Tuesday morning.

According to the CHP, officers responded to the crash around 6:28 a.m. on a rural highway south of Tracy.

The investigation revealed that a 2003 Hyundai sedan heading south on I-5 and took the exit leading to Highway 33.

Afterwards, the Hyundai stopped at a traffic sign at the end of the offramp and attempted to make a left turn to go south on Highway 33.

However, a northbound 2018 Ford utility truck crashed into the driver’s side of the Hyundai.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the 63-year-old man driving the truck did not stop at the intersection stop sign.

Tragically, paramedics declared 33-year-old Thomas Holdener dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford truck remained uninjured.

Tracy Officials are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the crash, as an active investigation is currently underway.
