Woman Fatally Struck in 2-Car Accident on Almond Drive

LOS BANOS, CA (February 4, 2022) – A two-vehicle crash on Center Avenue claimed the life of a woman and injured Thomas Decoste Friday evening.

According to reports, the collision occurred around 7:13 p.m., at the intersection of Center Avenue and Almond Drive.

Investigators later determined that Decoste was driving a westbound 2007 GMC on Almond Drive at an undetermined speed. For reasons unknown, he failed to stop at a stop sign and traveled directly in front of a 2006 Honda.

As a result, the Honda collided with the front left side of the GMC sending both vehicles in a northwest direction.

The Honda was driven by a 37-year-old Los Banos Woman. Due to the impact of the crash, she died at the scene after suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, the GMC driver, identified as 45-year-old Decoste sustained major injuries after being ejected from the vehicle. At this time, Los Banos Officials continue to investigate the two-vehicle crash.
