50-Year-Old Man, 55-Year-Old Woman Killed in Motorcycle Collision on Bancroft Drive

OILDALE, CA (October 10, 2022) – Tuesday night, Thomas David Porter Jr. and Rebecca Hurst Carberry died in a motorcycle crash.

The fatal incident happened around 11:07 p.m., near Bancroft Drive on October 4th.

According to reports, Porter Jr. was riding a a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle with his passenger, Carberry. The motorcycle then collided with a westbound 2021 Subaru, driven by 23-year-old Gannon Stane, of Bakersfield.

Police stated that Porter Jr. turned right onto Chester Avenue and struck the left side of the Subaru in the No. 2 lane. The impact ejected Porter Jr. and Carberry from the motorcycle onto the road.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced Porter Jr. and Carberry dead at the scene.

At this time, no further information has been provided.
