By now, we're sure you have your strategy mapped out for Saturday's street festival portion of the Sunset Strip Music Festival.

You're hitting the Sunset Strip early for Semi Precious Weapons; you're darting between outdoor stages for the likes of Travie McCoy, Neon Trees, Slash, Kid Cudi and Common; and, if you're a Smashing Pumpkins fan, you're dropping anchor at the West Stage to get a good spot the headliner, and maybe re-reading our wide-ranging interview with Billy Corgan.

Or maybe you don't. Maybe you're not the type to follow the herd and, despite the daunting list of set times, you're up for seeing a Next Big Thing. You need to hit the indoor venues for that, and we're here to help. Here's our shortlist for club-hoppers:

— Vanaprasta (5:20 p.m. at the Key Club): The L.A. quintet's debut album Healthy Geometry (finished but not yet released) is a head rush of twining guitars, ripped rhythms and Steven Wilkin's big tenor. The Killers with doctoral degrees in guitar rock.

— White Arrows (2:40 at the Cat Club): Dance-rockers whose August residency at Spaceland has been going off, this sextet exudes cool.

— Casxio (7:35 at the Key Club): Another L.A. band whose debut album is about to hit. Hunky frontman/bassist/crooner Lucas Guerin and crew can funk it up with the best of them, but not in an obvious way. Their song “Seventeen” should have been a stone cold hit by now.

— AWOLNATION (8:20 at the Key Club): The new project from Aaron Bruno (Under the Influence of Giants) brings bombastic synth-rock and a let's-party-in-outer-space vibe.

— Wicker (7:30 at the Roxy): Doing their damnedest not to lost in the tsunami of vapid Sunset Strip party bands, they might just succeed.

— Links (7 at the Cat Club): Young rock 'n' soul quartet, working on their full-length debut, gets better with every outing.
