The Border Grill downtown is wide open right now, with reservations throughout the night and a bargain $65 tasting menu available. Call (213) 486-5171 to reserve. 445 S. Figueroa St. downtown. 

Bourbon Steak, Michael Mina's fancy pants steakhouse at the Americana at Brand mall in Glendale, has plenty of reservations from around 8:30 on. They'll be serving a six-course tasting menu for $165. Call (818) 839-4130 to reserve. 237 S. Brand Boulevard, Glendale.

Cafe Stella in Silver Lake has a few early reservations (around 6) and a few later reservations (around 10). Take the early option and it'll cost you $65 per person for a three-course menu with champagne. For later reservations the price rises to $80. Drago Centro still has tables before 6 p.m., and at last check had one lone 7:45 reservation available (act quick!). They're offering a choice of prix fixe menu or you can order from the regular menu. Call (213) 228-8998 to reserve. 525 S. Flower St., downtown. 

Goldie's has reservations at about 7 p.m. still available, as well as around 10 p.m. They'll be serving the regular menu but offering free caviar and champagne to all diners, and live music will start at 10:30 p.m. Call (323) 677-2470 to reserve. 8422 W. 3rd St., West Hollywood. 

Post & Beam in Baldwin Hills has plenty of availability between 6 and 8:30 p.m. Chef Govind Armstrong is offering a bargain $40 three-course prix fixe in addition to the regular menu. Call (323) 299-5599 to reserve. 3767 Santa Rosalia Drive., Baldwin Hills. 

The brand new Preux & Proper downtown is throwing a masquerade party (beads and masks provided), serving their regular menu and offering drink specials and a champagne toast at midnight. They'll be accepting some walk ins, but there are also still plenty of reservations available. Check opentable for reservations. 840 S. Spring St., downtown. 

Racion in Pasadena still has reservations available at 6 and 9:30 p.m. You can reserve on their website or call (626) 396-3090. 119 West Green Street, Pasadena.

Smoke.oil.salt has just a couple of tables left for their 6:30 and 9 p.m. seating. The restaurant is serving a Catalan family style menu. The earlier seating costs $85 and is five courses, while the 9 p.m.seating is six courses, and includes Cava for $115. Call (323) 930-7900 to reserve. 7274 Melrose Avenue, Fairfax. 

You can get in just about any time you want for Sunny Spot's NYE party. Food is a la carte and you pay $47 for the open bar serving champagne, rum punch, wine and beer. There will also be food specials and a DJ. Call (310) 448-8884 to reserve. 822 Washington Blvd., Venice.

Willie Jane in Venice has plenty of spots open both around 6 and 9 p.m. You can choose from the regular menu or a $50 four-course prix fixe. Call (310) 392-2425 to reserve. 1031 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice.
