Edward Frank Barbosa Arrested after Fatal Two-Vehicle Collision near Fairview Drive

CARSON CITY, NV (February 9, 2023) – Saturday night, Theodore Daryl Richardson lost his life in a DUI crash on US 50.

The incident happened on January 28th, at around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of US Highway 50 and Fairview Drive.

According to reports, a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck traveling west on US Highway 50 failed to stop at a red light and collided with a Dodge Journey SUV traveling north on Fairview Drive. The impact of the collision left Richardson with serious injuries.

Following the crash, paramedics arrived and pronounced the Journey driver, 78-year-old Theodore Daryl Richardson, dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, police arrested the Ram’s driver, 31-year-old Edward Frank Barbosa, on charges of driving under the influence causing death, and failing to obey a traffic control device.

Carson City authorities have not released any additional information at this time. However, further investigation is underway.
