Now in its sixth year, the Vegan Beer Festival will take place in May with more animal-free food and drinks at a much improved location. Instead of a cramped parking lot in West Hollywood (ironically a parking nightmare), the festival will take place at the more spacious infield at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. 

QuarryGirl, Tony's Darts Away, Nic Adler and Goldenvoice have just announced their lineup of musical acts, craft breweries and plant-based eateries participating in the May 16 festival, and it includes some names both familiar and new. Tickets give you unlimited pours of more than 100 beers from 65 breweries, as well as access to purchase meat and dairy-free food from 40 vendors. 

The beer, of course, is vegan as well. (No, not all beer is vegan — some breweries use gelatin finings or fish bladders to clarify cloudy beers.) 

There's also a significant music component happening in the midst of all this vegan love, with Jamestown Revival and The White Buffalo headlining. 

Many breweries that have been at the festival every year will be returning, including Golden Road (try the annually brewed almond milk stout!), Firestone Walker, Noble Aleworks and Ballast Point. Newcomers this year include Three Weavers, which opened in October, and Bells, the famed Michigan brewery that recently launched local distribution.

Ticket prices are as follows:

General admission, at $50, includes event admission, entry at 1 p.m., 4-oz. Los Angeles Vegan Beer & Food Festival Glass and unlimited pours.

The VIP ticket, at $80, includes admission to the event, separate event entrance, early noon entry, 4-oz. Los Angeles Vegan Beer & Food Festival Glass, exclusive and unlimited pours, and access to the VIP lounge.

Non-drinking general admission, at $30, includes admission to the event at 1 p.m., 4-oz. Los Angeles Vegan Beer & Food Festival Glass and kombucha tastings.
