In 1982, when Elliott called his older brother Michael “penis-breath” while sitting at the kitchen table, we were clearly treading waters outside the saccharine, live-action Disney, Benji or Pippi Longstocking films of the 1970s. A couple of “shits,” “douchebags” and a “son of a bitch” later and Steven Spielberg’s E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial was a far cry from The Apple Dumpling Gang. Never before — with the exception of The Bad News Bears — had kids spoken with fresh, loud mouths.

Here's an expletive-filled look back at the top 10 lines spoken by cursing kids from films of the 1980s.
