Where are you going to be this Memorial Day Weekend? Maybe the beach? Just think about the war over parking and the crowds fighting over beach territory. Or maybe Uncle Bert's family barbeque? Take a second to remember the mustard stuck to Uncle Bert's lips as he reminisces about the glory days. Or how about the 2012 Jubilee, the music, arts and food festival held in Silver Lake? It's a no brainer. And the best part of the Jubilee is the PEN Center USA's Literary Stage. The two-day lineup is ridiculous. Here's just a taste of some of the authors — Ben Ehrenreich (he's the author of Ether and a widely published writer, including the L.A. Weekly), Ben Loory (he's been published in The New Yorker and has a hilarious fable about a duck falling in love with a rock), and Jillian Lauren (she wrote the memoir Some Girls: My Life in a Harem and the novel Pretty). Plus, there are time slots for PEN Center USA's “Emerging Voices,” “Tongue and Groove” (a monthly gathering of music, poetry and slam) and “Dirty Laundry Lit” (a monthly reading series that incorporates live music and literature). For a detailed schedule of times, please see PEN's website. Cross section of Sunset Blvd. & Santa Monica Blvd., 4219 Santa Monica Blvd., Silver Lake; Sat.-Sun., May 26-27, noon-6 p.m.; $20-$35; penusa.org or jubilee.is.

Sat., May 26, 12-6 p.m.; Sun., May 27, 12-6 p.m., 2012
