Michele StuevenE.P. & L.P. has re-opened the rooftop of its multi-level restaurant to the public with a new service model, extended hours, and a new snacks menu, available for outdoor al fresco rooftop dining. Seated-only service for both food and drink menus are available Monday through Friday from 4 p.m.-2 a.m. and Saturday to Sunday, noon-2 a.m.
The 5,500-square-foot rooftop level has been reconfigured to accommodate sit-down dining via elevator access only; guests will be seated at least six feet apart, with rooftop capacity capped at 150 people. New menu items include ahi tuna crostini with bigeye tuna, kimchi and sesame dressing on baguette, and a shrimp tostada with spiced shrimp mousse fried on a tortilla, lime crema and cilantro. There’s also a three pepper squid with five pieces of crispy fried squid, white pepper and shishito pepper. Signature fried crab curry bun with Australian spanner crab curry, sweet corn, mustard pickled cucumber and hot sauce is also back.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic and Hollywood Bowl Food + Wine has launched Hollywood Bowl Supper To Go, giving Bowl fans the chance to bring the Hollywood Bowl Food + Wine experience into their own homes with meals prepared daily in the on-site kitchen and wine pairings from the Bowl’s extensive list.
Customers can order their Hollywood Bowl Supper to Go meal and wine online and select a 45-minute window for pickup time. Upon arrival in the Hollywood Bowl’s main parking lot, the meal will be brought to their vehicle and placed in the trunk. Payment is made in advance for a contactless pickup. To ensure availability, ordering the day before is encouraged, but limited options may be available up to 3 p.m. for same-day ordering.
Menu options feature six different three-course meals, a family-style barbecue meal for two, and á la carte selections such as Spanish fried chicken, summer squash gratin and Alaskan halibut.
Dine-in services for Angelini Restaurant Group and Angelini Alimentari resume today and will continue with daily takeout.
The Gourmandise School at Santa Monica Place is Zooming their way into your kitchen with online classes for the summer. The school is offering a variety of different classes for all skill levels including Pasta from Scratch, Chicken Technique, Chinese Takeout, Parent & Child Classes, Teen Classes, Date Night Classes and more. Led by the Gourmandise chef instructors, each class will be two hours long with a maximum of 12 students making dishes from scratch.

At-home chefs interested in class offerings can find the full online class calendar and registration. Participants who register for a class will receive a shopping list with recommendations for sourcing, substitutions for various ingredients, a list of helpful tools to have on hand and any little bit of prep that might be needed before joining their culinary adventure. The Gourmandise team will be adding more classes daily.
Chado Tea Room has re-opened all four of its L.A. locations (Pasadena, Torrance, downtown L.A., Hollywood) beginning today. All tea rooms will be open from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For those who prefer to raise a pinky at home, Chado Tea Rooms will continue offering takeout for those tea, sandwich, salad and pastry cravings.
On Wednesday. June 17, Chronic Tacos is offering a special deal to all students to celebrate the end of the school year. Students with a valid student ID can enjoy a burrito or bowl-rito with chips, salsa, and a regular fountain drink for $6.99. There will also be a social media giveaway as part of the celebration. They will be giving away a signed skateboard to one lucky follower on his personal Instagram account to promote the special. Fish, shrimp, steak and Beyond Beef are excluded. Students must show proof of school ID to receive the offer. This offer is in-store only and will not be available for online ordering or third party delivery.
To celebrate International Sushi Day on June 18, El Sushi Loco will be reopening of some of its locations to dine-in service. All El Sushi Loco restaurants will also continue to offer takeout service and practice anti pandemic safety procedures. Hours will be in accordance with any and all city and state curfews if applicable. Otherwise hours are from noon to 8 p.m.
