Is there a zeitgeist of opposition to a potential move for the annual Comic-Con from San Diego to Anaheim? It appears that the ultimate nerds' nerd and foremost authority on such matters, Comic Book Guy, is none too happy about the prospect.

Yet another reason Comic-Con, the beloved summer festival celebrating the superhero world, should come to Los Angeles. Just this week Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa announced the city has nabbed Microsoft's annual Worldwide Partner Conference, arguably the most sought after event in the visitors and convention scene.

While San Diego is busy offering sweetheart deals to keep Comic-Con, it doesn't appear Los Angeles has countered with anything as tasty (the city, with a looming, $500 million-plus deficit, doesn't really have the means). But L.A. does have franchise-hungry, Iron Man-pumped Hollywood, a growing presence at Comic-Con.

Oh, and Comic Book Guy lives here in the off season.
