Last year the Parisian-style “secret dinner” drew a crowd of 2,700 at dusk in the Exposition Park Rose Garden for an evening of candlelit picnicking and dancing .

Guests meet at one of the predetermined destinations and are greeted by a guide who transports them to the final location for L.A.’s largest outdoor dinner party. Last year, Metro stations along the Expo Line were crowded with dedicated diners laden with tables, chairs, food, wine and decorations.
Established in France 30 years ago, the first white linen tablecloth was laid out by Francois Pasquier and a few of his friends in a Paris park. Since then, Le Dîner en Blanc has grown to 80 cities in 30 countries. Previous L.A. locations have included Pershing Square, Rodeo Drive and Pasadena City Hall’s Centennial Square, with the dress code always strictly enforced.
