“A noble purpose inspires sacrifice, stimulates innovation and encourages perseverance.”

– Gary Hamel

As the pandemic has undoubtedly tested the best of us, both mentally and emotionally and even physically, for some entrepreneurs, it’s been one of the most challenging times of their career. Through these challenges, the pandemic has revealed which entrepreneurs were made to last. Despite the disruptive restrictions that deeply affected his business, Pittsburgh-based entrepreneur Brosnan C. Hoban saw the pandemic as an opportunity to look for new ways to adapt his business. Today, though the world now looks forward to re-opening with the slow ease on covid restrictions, Hoban’s practices thus far have attributed to the success he managed to facilitate through the pandemic.

After following in the footsteps of his father, Hoban continued to carry the legacy of commercial real estate business, Hoban Realty. With a knack for networking and building close relationships with clients, tenants and the community, Brosnan Hoban helped Hoban Realty amass the success and popularity that they’re known for in the Pittsburgh area today. And through the pandemic, Hoban maintained these close relationships with tenants whose businesses were strained as a result of covid closures. Hoban selflessly accommodated rent reductions for his tenants in order to help them stay afloat. Despite how difficult it has been to carry on through these times, the young entrepreneur has remained focused on persevering.

“My tenants have inspired me in so many ways,” Hoban says. “They have fought through so much adversity during this pandemic and now see light at the end of the tunnel. Things are finally getting back to normal.”

In addition to his tenants, the implications of the market booming once again have kept Hoban motivated throughout these unprecedented times. With the promise of new and developing opportunities on the horizon, though he continues to proactively work with his tenants to ensure smart and adaptive solutions for the reopening, he looks forward to what the future will hold for new business opportunities.

“I am very optimistic about the future,” Hoban says. “As an entrepreneur it is important to stay positive and clear your mind of any doubt or negativity that starts to creep in. As more people get vaccinated and businesses start to get back to full capacity, it gives me hope that 2021 will be an amazing year.
