The Kings — that would be our hometown hockey team, not Sacramento's basketball outfit — won Lord Stanley's Cup on Monday night. And to celebrate winning the Holy Grail of sports, Filipino BBQ joint The Park's Finest will offer a special World Champions Combo Plate today from noon to 8 p.m., which includes BBQ, rice, vegetables and cornbread for just $10. For those who come in wearing Kings apparel, a cocktail or beer will be on the house.

As for the Kings themselves, tradition permits each member of the team to spend a day with the Cup, which is sort of like taking an extra-special class pet home for a night. Team captain Dustin Brown was first to take home the trophy; he filled it with chocolate milk, and his kids, dressed up in Spider-Man costumes, blew chocolate milk bubbles. Suddenly, eating BBQ in Kings gear in the middle of June doesn't seem so strange after all.
