Kitchen gadgets are frequently ridiculous PR-driven stunts, more reasons to spend money on stupid things that clutter your kitchen and only come out of the drawer when you move or you're wondering what the hell Andy Rooney is ranting about for a third time. (Strawberry huller, really?) But very occasionally, somebody comes up with something more useful than a Star Wars pancake mold. Witness this, a cutting board outfitted like a drafting table. Called the OCD Chef Cutting Board, the 9″ x 12″ beechwood board will run you about $25, which is probably cheaper than more Ritalin. For anyone who cuts carrots for mirepoix in precise brunoise cuts — we've seen chefs with rulers tattooed on their hands — or likes their bits of celery in trapezoids instead.
