Need to get in your final head-banging and belly laughs of 2013 before Baby New Year starts crying? Look no further than Largo's Last Show Before We Go on Monday, where funny man Jeff Garlin has rounded up a cadre of not-uncool talent to help wave goodbye to the last year. Tenacious D, still riding high on its ridiculously fresh and clean Festival Supreme, a comedy and music fest that took place earlier this fall on the Santa Monica Pier, will be plugging in to help Garlin see the evening through. Also on board is power-pop Southerner Matthew Sweet and punk-rock Bangles Jewbu Susanna Hoffs. The best part about this evening is that ticket sales benefit the Little Tumor Foundation, a nonprofit organization that sponsors research aiming to prevent tumor growth in children and provides funding to families suffering from related medical conditions. If you attend this event, you can get a preemptive start on your 2014 resolutions: Culture! You'll be around neat people doing cool things. Exercise! You'll work your abs from laughter and your, um, neck muscles from bouncing to the beat. Good will toward men! You'll be donating to a good cause. Wins all around. Largo at the Coronet, 366 N. La Cienega Blvd., Beverly Grove; Mon., Dec. 23, 8:30 p.m.; $40. (310) 855-0350, largo-la.com.
