Largo's ticketing/talent booker Flanny (or Mr. Flanagan, to you) kept things nice and mysterious: “Mark down Wednesday, Aug. 12, when Sarah Silverman returns to Largo. She will be bringing along some very special guests for this show, as always, and tickets are on sale now!” Exactly how long has it been since the titular Sarah Silverman Program star graced the Largo stage? No idea, though she was definitely on hand for buddy Doug Benson's The Benson Interruption back in April. Precisely which “very special guests” will be appearing alongside Silverman? Not a clue. Since positively ancient standup special Jesus Is Magic, has she even found time between perma-splitting with Jimmy Kimmel, making brief film appearances in the likes of Funny People and prepping a third season for Comedy Central to write and test new material? Who knows? Will it still be worth seeing the top female satirist working today skewer the, er, bejesus out of religion, sex and ethnicity? Better believe it.
