Beginning in 1978, the Pasadena Doo Dah Parade has become known as the Rose Parade's “twisted sister.” Parade marchers wear their zaniest, wildest attire as they walk past mom-and-pop shops on Colorado Boulevard in East Pasadena as spectators hurl tortillas at them, a tradition that started in the parade's infancy. Some participants make political statements with their costumes, others just march for the fun of it. Here are some of the most colorful costumes we saw at the Doo Dah Parade on Sunday, Nov. 19.
