Special-effects makeup and horror con Son of Monsterpalooza sold out the Marriott Burbank Convention Center for a weekend's worth of makeup, memorabilia and general scary shit fandom. Besides the industry's best monster makeup artists and their stunning transformations, the Sept. 15-17 weekend was replete with celebs from the world of horror, grom The Walking Dead's Steven Yeun and The Craft's Fairuza Balk to Gremlins director Joe Dante and Booger himself, Curtis Armstrong. There was also an art gallery and vendors selling all sorts of spooky stuff. It was a fittingly gruesome way to kick off the Halloween season.
