The Lost 80s Were Found at the Greek: It would be easy to make fun of these ’80s music package shows that we usually (pre pandemic) get in L.A. every six months or so. There are the ’80s Weekend shows at the Microsoft Theater, and these Lost 80s gigs at the Greek, and they generally offer the same thing — ’80s musicians come out one after the other and play 2-5 ish songs. They can be a real mixed bag — rappers such as Candyman, R&B artists such as Jodie Whatley, synth-pop peeps like When in Rome, and real, bona fide artists such as the Bangles and OMD.

Friday’s show at the Greek is no different. A Flock of Seagulls, the Romantics, Missing Persons, Oingo Boingo Former Members, Naked Eyes, Glass Tiger, Dramarama, Stacey Q, the Flirts, Trans X, Animotion, Musical Youth, Burning Sensations, and the great Josie Cotton will provide the entertainment.

See what we mean, some of it is silly, some of it is bizarre, some of it (Cotton, Romantics) will be fantastic. But all of it will be fun.

The Lost 80s Were Found at the Greek: The event takes place at 6:45 on Friday, September 3 at the Greek Theatre.
