The festival is a three-day celebration of music, art, food and local culture that takes place annually the third weekend in July in Northern California. The area has hosted many acclaimed music festivals and renowned talent over the past 30 years.

“Our mission is to produce NNMF, founded on passionate support for and a strong understanding of emerging underground music industries, and featuring sought out producers & DJs from regions around the globe,” The Northern Nights team told L.A. Weekly ahead of the contest. “Our collective hope is to sustain NNMF as a premiere destination festival that offers a unique opportunity to fully embrace a truly Californian experience. Lighting, sound and stage production for the stages is a collaboration between the Bay Area’s finest production teams partnering with experienced local talent.”

In addition to music, the weekend will feature a lot of art, beer and wine – all local specialties of The Emerald Triangle, in addition to the pot that made it famous. There also will be yoga and meditation spaces available for those looking to find balance that weekend.

So what do you win? The top prize includes a three-day ‘POST UP’ glamping tent accommodation for two guests with one queen bed,  VIP three-Day Northern Nights 2022 tickets, and two Northern Nights pendants.
