On October 21, 2015, a red-letter date in the (now) history of movies, Back to the Future fans from across the country and all over the world descended upon Los Angeles to take part in We're Going Back, the ultimate celebration of the cherished trilogy that made time travel possible. By making the trek to L.A. from countries such as Brazil, Japan, Australia, Canada, England, Argentina, and France, just to name a few, Marty McFly and Doc Brown enthusiasts clearly proved that Back to the Future is a worldwide phenomenon. Over five days these passionate fans were immersed within a meticulously detailed Back to the Future celebration like no other. They danced the night away at an authentic Enchantment Under the Sea Dance at the actual filming location; took selfies at the Clock Tower at Universal Studios; saw the Libyans chase Marty in the time machine through the Twin Pines Mall parking lot; there was even a wedding and a marriage proposal throughout all of this, and L.A. Weekly was there just about every step of the way. To paraphrase Doc Brown, this event made such a difference in so many peoples’ lives that it’s hard to show you everything that’s happened over the last few days.
