Our friends at Videothing just debuted a short of the first LA club performance by Dum Dum Girls, whose debut album comes out on Sub Pop in a few months. You should watch it to see what all the hoo-ha is about.

The band first starting appearing on the radar last summer, though astute scenesters might recognize lead singer (and main DDG) Dee Dee from her time spent as singer for Grand Ole Party, when she was known by her birth name, Kristin Gundred. She split from them last year after one album, formed Dum Dum Girls and got signed to Sub Pop. Very efficient plan. The debut full length, I Will Be, comes out on March 30, and features a Crystal Stilt, a Yeah Yeah Yeah and a few other nearly-names. Before the debut, though, the band has a cassette compilation arriving on San Diego-based Art Fag Recordings.

More music after the jump.
