The cast of Grey's Anatomy trade their scrubs for civvies for Grey's Anatomy: The Songs Beneath the Show, a benefit for the Actors Fund. Music has long been a big part of the medical drama, which has featured songs by Tegan & Sara, Lykke Li and Rilo Kiley, and even had a entire musical episode built around songs by Snow Patrol, The Fray, Brandi Carlile, Mike Doughty and The Like. Yeah, I know — The Fray? Blah and blaher-er. Performing are Jessica Capshaw, Justin Chambers, Eric Dane, Sarah Drew, Sandra Oh, Jim Pickens Jr., Sara Ramirez, Kim Raver and Chandra Wilson. You even get to see Tommy from Trainspotting — Kevin McKidd, who plays Dr. Owen Hunt — belt one out. And, hey, maybe this live entertainment bug will inspire other TV hospital staffers to take to the stage. Nurse Jackie does Janis Joplin? House's Hugh Laurie is Leonard Cohen? The cast of Scrubs might even be available. Royce Hall, UCLA; Sun., March 18, 8 p.m.; $55, $75 and $95; $250 VIP ticket includes premium seating, after-show Q&A with the cast, personalized gift from Grey's Anatomy and preferred parking pass; uclalive.org/calendar/event_detail.asp?id=212.
