Fashionable semi-supergroup The Dead Weather will roll into the Third Man Records pop up shop Wednesday, August 26th for a free performance. Fronted by the talented but annoying Jack White and the highly talented and attractive (empirically, West Coast Sound ran the numbers) Alison Mosshart from The Kills (and some dudes from the Raconteurs and Queens of the Stoneage), the Raconkillstripes band plays a free preview at noon, before their show at the Mayan Theatre. It's quite the treat for those lavishing in the fruits of funemployment. Tweet it up. Make your friends jealous.

The Pop Up Shop will feature vinyl and CDs from the label behind The Dead Weather, The White Stripes, and the Raconteurs. Also, as a “media moment,” the label will be giving away a “Golden Ticket” which will grant one lucky consumer a trip to Nashville to tour the Third Man Records Facility and (perhaps) smell Jack White up close.
