It's been a busy couple of weeks for the folks over at Jet Propulsion Laboratory. You know, with landing an automated vehicle on a planet more than 35 million miles away while dealing with a 14-minute lag in communication. Maybe some free food will take the stress off.

The Original Tops in Pasadena is celebrating the local rocket scientists working on Martian time with the “Curiosity Burger.”

The burger is actually just a renamed TOPS Special: A ¼ pound old fashioned hamburger (with lettuce, fresh tomatoes, sweet red onion, dill pickle and homemade thousand island dressing), topped with famous pastrami, mustard and American cheese.

It's free for all JPL staffers. Just ask for a Curiosity Burger and show your badge to the staff. For regular folk operating on Earth time, the burger is at its regular price of $6.29.

The deal is available from Thursday, August 23 through Sunday, August 26.
