Things are going well here at Squid Ink. Our correspondents are finding all sorts of cool things to post about in the world of food and drink. The only problem is that there are so many things to blog about that it's hard to keep up with the incoming copy — we like to make sure we're linking to interesting places and bringing you the very best posts possible before we hit publish. With this in mind, we're going to bring on an editor/writer to help Squid Ink expand its tentacles. That means more posts per day, more recipes and more digging for fresh news.

Here's the official job posting:

LA Weekly is looking for a dynamic writer/reporter to manage and develop its Squid Ink food blog. The editor will be responsible for writing daily posts, assigning and editing, recruiting freelancecontributors, and managing the Twitter page. The ideal candidate will already have industry sources in order to break the news and tell the backstories important to Los Angeles's food and restaurant community. This is a full-time salaried position with benefits. This is a union position. Interested and qualified applicants should send cover letter,

resume and clips to LAfoodblogger@villagevoicemedia.com.

Note that we're already overwhelmed with resumes just from this morning; it will be impossible to interview every interested person. But we are looking over every submission.
