Time and again, Los Angeles proves that you don’t need to go north to have a magical winter. This season, we were excited to discover the winter wonderland that is Wisdome.

Dance club, concert venue, immersive gallery, wellness retreat – Wisdome is everything and more. As one of the hottest up-and-coming entertainment destinations in L.A., they offer unique fun that can’t be found anywhere else in the city.

What brought us to Wisdome was our never-ending search for holiday magic in this sprawling concrete jungle we call home. If you want to do something new while still enjoying holiday staples like pine trees, ice-skating, and real snow, this is the place for you. As the largest immersive experience located in the heart of the DTLA Arts District, every event you attend at Wisdome wraps you up in the wonder of the theme, allowing you to fall into joy with blissful ease.

Here are the top winter events we are looking forward to:

Santa’s North Pole

Happening all month long, you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in all things Christmas when you visit Santa’s North Pole. With four fun-filled geodesic domes absolutely brimming with Christmas-y delight, this event is easily the largest holiday installation we have ever seen. Whether you plan on enjoying the exhibit with family and friends, or even just yourself, you can be guaranteed that you’ll make some unforgettable memories.

With each ticket offering so much, it’s hard for us to choose our highlights. You absolutely can’t miss the 360-degree snowflake adventure ride (you’ll have to see it to believe it), ice skating amongst pine trees (yes, in L.A.!), the Northern Lights show, and of course, photos with Santa.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for kids.

Dark Side of the Dome

As a gift to all of us, Wisdome is bringing back its wildly popular Dark Side of the Dome for a limited engagement on December 13th and 14th.

An immersive concert experience, guests will enjoy Dark Side of the Moon played live by members of the band, Jane’s Addiction, Kid Rock and Fishbone.

If typical holiday traditions aren’t your thing, this show will certainly bring some magic to your winter season. With dancers, performance artists, live painting and VR all taking place among the backdrop of eye-popping visuals projected across the massive dome theatre, Dark Side of the Dome is state-of-the-art technology at its best. Putting this experience over the top is the artwork of the Grateful Dead’s Android Jones.

Including food and a full bar, tickets range from $59 to $119.

Sound Healing Sunday: Etherica – A Galactic Sound Journey

We are of the firm belief that everyone needs a session at Wisdome’s Sound Healing Sunday.

Coming up quickly is their December 15th wellness event from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. Called Etherica – A Galactic Sound Journey, this unique programming features a live mantra performance with sacred instruments and breath work as well as energy healing, body movement, and intention-setting meditation. Attendees are surrounded by stunning 360 visuals projected on the dome, helping guests to relax and recharge.

Amazing event aside, this is alternative wellness brought to another level. The 432 HZ healing frequencies help you to ascend to a higher plane of consciousness as you feel all your seasonal stressors melt off, along with any current anxieties and negative emotions.

If you are ready to heal yourself and clear your subconscious, tickets are available starting at $30. While we have experienced many alternative healing events in L.A., Sound Healing Sundays are one-of-a-kind. If you give yourself any gift this season, give yourself this.

MindTravel – Silent Headphone Piano Journey

Also on December 15th, this event starts at 7 p.m. and can be bundled with SoundHealing Sunday for a full day of wellness.

Created by renowned composer and pianist Murray Hidary, guests are moved to a blissful state as they listen to meditative tones while focusing on evocative and breathtaking visuals projected onto the dome’s 360-degree screen.

Jason Wachob, founder of Mind Body Green, describes the magic and beauty of the experience well, saying: “MindTravel is an experience like no other. Imagine a concert pianist improvising beautiful, peaceful music with imagery in the background that matches the beauty of the music — combined, it is almost meditative or trance-like.”

Welcome the new year with mindfulness and powerful intentions. Tickets can be purchased online and range from $34 – $89.
