Thanksgiving is, for all intents and purposes, the kick-off to a month of holiday hustle — not to mention parties, shows and mad haps galore. We say why not dive right in? Here, a mixed bag of bashes to do just that this weekend.

HIGH & TIGHT
In the spirit of giving, DJ SindriSalad promises to take requests all night at this sassy post-turkey soiree. Crowd pleasers aside, the highlight of the evening will offer a bounty of benevolent bodaciousness: a performance by the intimitable Love Connie, the self-proclaimed “multi-media-grindhouse-drag-performance artist.” Oh yeah, and there will also be $5 cranberry vodkas and pumpkin spice shots. PERVERSION
Nothing says Thanksgiving (or rather escape from the family dinner table on Thanksgiving) like some noisy industrial goth music. And Perversion’s annual T-night tradition has been offering gloomsters a place to dance off the drama of the day in darkness for years. DJs Amanda Jones, Bruce Perdew and Michael Stewart spin EBM, dark techno, goth and dark postpunk. THE LEFT-OVER
The Do-Over’s annual Thanksgiving-themed after-party will be in full effect this year as part of the “Red Bull Sound Select Presents 30 Days in LA” series (this is night No. 27). Scheduled decksmiths include Just Blaze and Harriet Brown, but as always, it’s the party’s unannounced guests that everyone will be extra thankful for. THE KRAMPUS
For those over the Black Friday buzz, this sinister Saturday celebration should make for a far more entertaining endeavor. Al Ridenour of Krampus Los Angeles will delve into the folklore behind the creepy holiday beast with slides, video and “a cavalcade of costumed associates,” who will be hanging out after the presentation for photo opps and a reception flowing with mulled wine (Glühwein) and wicked hi-jinx. DROID BEHAVIOR 13 ANNIVERSARY
Droid showcases and Interface events worldwide have kept this dance music collective bumping all year, but they aren’t letting their lucky 13 anniversary go by without a proper party in L.A. The 53rd installment of their Interface series goes down his holiday weekend with Drumcell, Truncate, Raíz, Subversive, Dean Paul, Template and K. Galindo, plus video by Oktaform and sound by Funktion One. Venue TBA, Saturday, Nov. 28, 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Tickets, more info and RSVP.
