As we reported a couple months ago, this year you could watch all of Coachella from your couch, online.
As for EDC – held over the weekend in Las Vegas (here's our full coverage) – you could digitally witness the goings-on as well, via the “vanishing message” app Snapchat. But it was totally different.
Attendees at the electronic dance music festival broadcast short clips and pictures of themselves at the fest. At home, you could watch these snaps, one after another.
We did, and it was pretty intoxicating!

First, here's the trailer for the thing:
Sure, some of the Snaps were grainy concert pics and videos, but most of them were candid images of festivalgoers just having a good time.
It was actually quite entertaining. Snapchat used geo-fencing to ensure that people who weren't actually at the festival couldn't submit snaps. And the images and videos were curated, so there was no nudity or whatever.
In case you missed it, here are some of our favorites!
Taste the overpriced watermelon!
Whoa! Safety first, lady.
Feel the heat!
Fireworks!
Or, is that how many hours you had to wait in line to get into the fest?

Smoking hookah with Porter Robinson? Nice.
You know, Mean Girls.
Hahaha.
Longest day of the year!
Then again, we're not sure absolutely every moment of the festival had to be documented.
