The best show I’ve seen would have to be Bjork at Bonnaroo in 2013. I got to the stage super early and waited all day so I could be right up  front. Homogenic came out when I was 2 years old, and my mom played it in the car everywhere we went, and I would listen and imagine I was floating in space. Seeing her live was a really full-circle moment, and she completely blew me away. Her performance had such a fullness to it — even though she seems so carefree, you can tell you she puts so much creative thought and energy into everything, and I think that’s what makes her so great.

Velvet Vaughan’s new single “Sleep Walk” is out now.
